The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) opening Match-Day one between the MFM of Lagos and Remo Stars has been changed from Mobolaji Johnson Arena to Teslim Balogun National Stadium in Surulere.
In a statement endorsed by the Club Media Officer, Mr. Olawale Quadry, on Friday morning, MFM changed the venue from Mobolaji Johnson Arena to Teslim Balogun National Stadium Surulere due to technical issues that beyond their control.
MFM as earlier announced Mobolaji Johnson Arena as the venue for the match due to some renovation ongoing at their main stadium in Agege.
The opening match for the 2021/2022 NPFL match-day 1 fixture will kick off by 6 pm.
MFM wrote in a series of tweets;
This is to inform Football Stakeholders in Lagos State and beyond, that the venue for the 2021/22 NPFL Matchday 1 fixture, between MFM FC and Remo Stars, has been changed from Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, to Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.
This is due to technical issues beyond our control. The match will kickoff by 6pm.
