More Than 100 Children Together For The Golf Clinic 2021

No less than 100 children to participate in the Children’s Golf Development Clinic for this year scheduled to launch Monday to Golf and Country Club of IBB International, Abuja.

The two-week event labeled “Future golf champions” are put in place by the Mayrose Richard Obioha-directed section of the Ladies section of the IBB Golf as part of efforts to raise the level of play. Golf in the country.

According to the Chairman of the Organizing Committee and the Vice-Lady Captain, Joy Ikwue, more than 70 children and adolescents aged five and 18 have so far recorded for the clinic, and even more to come.

She stated that the best Nigerian professional golfers will provide training for life skills to children with a view to incorporating them into the game.

“Golf is a set of rules and as much as there are many rules for children to learn, we also want them to know the service to humanity, the country and the golfish companions,” Ikwue said.

She said the club ladies have traditionally organized this summer development clinic for a decade and the section attempted to support the development agenda to discover young potential golfers.

“The clinic is to catch young and grooming them in a way that becoming assets for their parents and Nigeria as a whole.”

Ikwue, however, lasted the difficulties to get sponsors because some of the letters sent received no response.

However, it thanked the Nigeria Development and Surveillance Board of Directors, the Rotary Club, as well as club members for their support. The clinic goes from Monday from July 26 to Friday, August 6th.
